With the increased number of the prostate specimens submitted for pathologic examination, the detection of incidental prostatic carcinoma and the variety of lesions discovered in prostate tissue has widened. The endometrioid adenocarcinoma of prostate is very rare. An endometrioid adenocarcinoma is incidentally detected in a transvesical prostatectomy specimen. Immunohistochemically the tumor showed positive staining with PSA. In position to the earlier arguments suggesting the endometrioid carcinoma of the prostate as of Mullerian remnant origin, many studies indicate that it is actually an adenocarcinoma of primary duct origin.
