10 - Magnetic resonance imaging in Dyke-Davidoff-Masson syndrome presented with epilepsy

Dyke-Davidoff-Masson syndrome, clinically characterized, by intractable epileptic seizures, facial asymmetry, mental retardation and cerebral hemiatrophy is very rare and that might cause resistant seizures. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is one of the imaging methods of choice to demonstrate the etiology of epilepsy. In this study we have presented Dyke- Davidoff-Masson syndrome in a 22 years old male patient with medically intractable epilepsy and discussed clinical appearance, pathology and the value of the magnetic resonance imaging in the diagnosis of this syndrome.
