Bezoars are defined as foreign bodies formed in the stomach and!or small bowel due to an accumulation of swallowed substances. The most common complication associated with gastrointestinal trichobezoar is intestinal obstruction and, less frequently, small bowel perforation. For this reason the diagnosis must be established as early as possible, in order to provide an effective treatment. The Rapunzel Syndrome is a rare form of gastric trichobezoar extending throughout the bowel, therefore we report it here.
Keywords: bezoars, trichobezoar, Rapunzel syndrome.
