9 - A case of esophageal tuberculosis

Tuberculosis in Turkey is a common infectious disease but esophageal tuberculosis is a rare form of extrapulmonary tuberculosis. It usually occurs when tuberculous bacilli infected mediastinal lymph nodes enlarge and with perinodal inflammation invade esophagus wall. Here we present a case of esophageal tuberculosis secondary to mediastinal tuberculous lymphadenitis with endobronchial involvement.
