Carotid-cavernous sinus fistula is an abnormal communication between internal carotid artery and the veins of cavernous sinus. This fistulas usually occur as a result of blunt trauma or can be occur spontaneously. Consequently arterialized flow occurs in the affected vein and venous pressure increases. Clinical symptoms such as proptozis, motility disturbances, pulsating exopthalmous, chemosis, decrease in vision, dilatation of episcleral and conjuctival blood vessels can be detected.
