13 - Goodpasture Syndrome in a Cocaine User

Patient admitted to the emergency room with respiratory distress and anasarca type edema and was hospitalized with the prediagnosis of acute renal failure. A history of hemoptysis, finding of hematuria and proteinuria in the urine specimen and linear infiltration ofGMB in renal biopsy and Anti-GMB antibody positivity indicated progressive Goodpasture syndrome. Areport of the caseis prepared after failure to stop the progressive process despite the given therapy and the rare incidence of the syndrome.
